Do you remember silly, inconsequential things from decades ago?

I remember the man who sold me my very first car, an 1965 Oldsmobile F85. I bought it from Richard Cremeans in 1972! Why should I remember that silly fact? I only saw the man once in my life when my mom took me to buy the car that he recommended--I wanted a VW Bug and mom said they were unsafe and she wouldn't cosign on that--and I don't even remember what he looked or sounded like. But I remember his name for some reason. My middle school principal had a wart on his nose, his name was Mr. Frieze (freeze). He looked like penguin. All sorts of silly stuff like this... Do you have useless knowledge floating around in your head? And yet you may not even remember the name of your best friend's boy/girlfriend in high school? Weird, isn't it?
